New York enters at 21-11, while Baltimore comes in at 15-17 and needs a change after managing only three hits on Friday night.

The Yankees are slated to start Game 2 with Ryan Weathers against Baltimore's Kyle Bradish.

Weathers entered the game with a 1-2 record, a 3.21 ERA, 40 strikeouts, and a 1.22 WHIP in 33.2 innings. And he has given the Yankees at least five innings in his last four starts.

On the contrary, Bradish is still trying to find his best form after Tommy John surgery in 2025. He enters with a 1-3 record, a 4.20 ERA, 31 strikeouts, and 17 walks in 30 innings.

He took a loss on April 26 against Boston, allowing three earned runs and four walks over 5.0 innings.

At the plate, the Yankees have been getting big swings from Ben Rice, Aaron Judge, and José Caballero. Rice has 11 homers, and seven of those have come in his last 14 games.

Judge leads the club with 12 home runs. Caballero hit a home run of his own, while Cody Bellinger added an RBI double.

Despite the Game 1 loss, the Orioles' lineup remains a home run threat. Pete Alonso homered in his first at-bat back in New York.

Adley Rutschman has been on a seven-game hitting streak with a .329 average entering the series, four homers, and 14 RBIs in that stretch. Taylor Ward has shown strong plate discipline with nine straight games with a walk entering the series.

Possible Lineups

Aaron Boone’s Game 1 choices worked well. He kept Paul Goldschmidt at first base and moved Ben Rice to the DH to maximize the offense. Both players contributed to the Yankees' 11-hit attack.

The Yankees received some positive news on Jasson Dominguez. His CT scan report on the left elbow is negative. There is a good chance he returns to the starting lineup for Saturday.

Projected Yankees Lineup:

  1. Paul Goldschmidt (1B)
  2. Ben Rice (DH)
  3. Aaron Judge (RF)
  4. Cody Bellinger (LF)
  5. Amed Rosario (3B)
  6. José Caballero (SS)
  7. Austin Wells (C)
  8. Trent Grisham (CF)
  9. Jazz Chisholm Jr. (2B)

The Orioles had to change their rotation because Trevor Rogers landed on the IL with the flu. In Game 1, Samuel Basallo handled the catching duties while Adley Rutschman served as the DH.

Projected Orioles Lineup:

  1. Gunnar Henderson (SS)
  2. Taylor Ward (LF)
  3. Adley Rutschman (C/DH)
  4. Pete Alonso (1B)
  5. Samuel Basallo (DH/C)
  6. Jeremiah Jackson (2B)
  7. Dylan Beavers (RF)
  8. Leody Taveras (CF)
  9. Coby Mayo (3B)
